Husky Dreamland!
Visit a Husky Farm in Lapland with LappOne – The five sense of Lapland with 1 hour sled safari with huskies.
Your “Husky Dreamland Experience” from your hotel and drive to our office in HaparandaTornio Resecentrum/Matkakeskus. There you are given basic information on the experience and security instructions alongside the proper arctic clothes; we then depart towards the Old Pine Husky Lodge, Finland (about 1 hour drive).
We start our husky safari in the enchanted forest of Honkamaa and drive our sled in the pristine forest that surrounds this beautiful lodge, once a church summer camp location. The safari lasts around 1h, with a few stops in order to admire the snowy landscape, take a rest and switch drivers.
After the safari it’s time to cuddle the dogs and say thanks for a great job! Most dogs will also be happy to pose for your pictures. We then gather for a traditional soup lunch in the Pirtti, a museum house from the mid 1800s, where you can learn all about the Arctic and these wonderful dogs directly from the musher.
In the afternoon we drive you back to your hotel (around 45-60 minutes).
HUSKY DREAMLAND
Duration: about 6h including transfers.
Location: Keminmaa.
Difficulty: medium, harder on windy and cold days. Not suitable for children.
Gear: boots and overalls included.
Please bring your own hat and gloves (mittens recommended).
Transfer: 70-120 km in private minibus.
Pickup/dropoff: at your hotel lobby or at the LappOne Experience shop in Krannigatan 5 B (HaparandaTornio Resecentrum).

Timetable: 9:30-15 Sweden, 10:30-16 Finland (approximately)
