Your snowmobile safari in Haparanda starts from your hotel and we drive you to our headquarters in the HaparandaTornio Travel Centre (Resecentrum), where you try on your arctic gear (shoes, overalls, mittens). We drive around 15 minutes to the resort of Kukkolaforsen, on the Swedish shore of the river Torne. Here, after a security brief, you can try on your helmet and climb on your snowmobile (up to 2 persons per vehicle). We then drive up the frozen river or the countryside around the village for around 2 hours. We stop midway in order to take a break with a hot drink and switch driver.

The ride ends at lunchtime in the old fisherman village of Kukkola, where ancient traditions continue in spite of technology. Here, you can try your skills at traditional bread baking. We sit in an old wooden building around the open fire, and our guide teaches you the baking techniques using a special steel kettle. You taste your own bread with local whitefish salad. A delicious and entertaining experience.
