Husky safari and ice fishing at an old country cottage with LappOne – The five sense of Lapland
We pick you up from your hotel and drive to our office in HaparandaTornio. There you are given basic information on the experience and security instructions alongside the proper arctic clothes; we then depart towards the Old Pine Husky Lodge, Finland (about 1 hour drive) for our husky and fishing safari.
We start our husky safari in the enchanted forest of Honkamaa! We start a wonderful safari lasting around 30 minutes and drive our sled in the pristine forest that surrounds this beautiful lodge, once a church summer camp location. During the safari we will stop a few times in order for you to take a rest, take pictures or switch driver. The track is of medium difficulty, winding in the forest.
After the safari it’s time to cuddle the dogs and say thanks for a great job! Most dogs will also be happy to pose for your pictures. We then move to a lake nearby where we can try ice fishing with traditional methods and have a wilderness fish lunch. The chef will be happy to prepare the fish you have just caught, but there will be some extra in case you don’t get lucky. Catch is not guaranteed.
In the afternoon we drive you back to our office (around 60 minutes) and then to your hotel.
